Laser Hair Removal Was Worth Every Penny

When I was a child, I always hoped that I would be one of the lucky ones who didn't have a hairy back as I got older. Unfortunately for me, that was not the case, and while I don't quite look like Magilla Gorilla, my back is certainly not smooth or at least, it wasn't smooth.

I decided a few years ago to invest in laser hair removal, and I have never regretted the money that I spent at all. I had to go in for six treatments, and it cost me over $1,000 when all was said and done, but I can honestly say that having that done and the peace of mind that goes along with it was worth every penny I spent.

I had never really minded having back hair once I got older. It is sort of funny how your priorities change when you grow up. When I was young, I thought I would be just devastated, that no woman would ever want me and that I would end up dying alone of I had back hair, and as I came to find out, it really does not matter in most cases.

However, it does become a bit of an issue if you want to go to a swimming pool, or the beach. That is when I first really started to contemplate laser hair removal, when I started to think about all of the activities that I would have preferred to do with my shirt off, but felt too self conscious to do so.

For instance, where I live, it gets really hot in the summer months, and I spend a lot of time working in the yard. I would love sometimes to take off my shirt to keep cooler, but with a hairy back, I was afraid that people would stare at me or laugh, so I was never willing to do that.

I would see friends in their swimming pools or out playing catch with their shirts off, and I really felt a bit jealous that I could not do that and feel comfortable doing so.

Fortunately, I had a friend who worked at a clinic that did laser hair removal and decided to go through with it. After the first treatment, the hair on my back was significantly less than what it had be, and by the second or third treatment, it was barely noticeable at all.

I thought about stopping the treatment then, but she recommended that I go ahead and have the rest of it removed as well, so I did, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My back is now as smooth as silk, and I can feel confident going outside with no shirt.

Laser hair removal was not painful like waxing can be, and I did not have to use any kind of smelly chemical product, either. It just worked out well for me all the way around, and I have never looked back on paying the money with any regret.
