Uncommon Baby Gift Ideas

When you find out someone you know and love is having a baby, you are probably excited about going out to find some baby gifts for the parents to be. You can go out and get the same old things, or you can try to find some less common but immensely useful baby gift ideas that most others are not going to think to buy. These gifts are sure to be useful and appreciated, and remembered for being a bit out of the ordinary. Just remember to get a gift receipt in case someone else has the same idea as you do.

If you know someone is having a little boy, there are some neat products out on the market that they may not buy on their own, but will love once they use them. There are small clothe items that are put over a boy's private parts to eliminate the many peeing accidents that are bound to happen. Anyone with a little boy will tell you that they get peed on regularly, and sometimes the boys pee on themselves. See if you can find these neat little items and buy them. In the way of baby gift ideas, this one is a winner.

Other uncommon baby gift ideas include getting more than just a baby book or a frame. Many stores have sets that all go together that include baby book, frames, keepsake box, scrapbook, photo album and other items for saving memories. Most people buy someone just one of these things, but you could get two or more in the same set so that they have a matching set. Many parents are going to love this, as they usually have to go out and buy most of those things on their own. They are going to love that everything matches.

Baby gift ideas that parents are going to love include getting them services that they are going to use. Think about going to your local photo shop and prepaying for digital printing for baby pictures. Get them ink and photo paper for their home printer if they like to print at home. You could also gift certificates for any other type of service they can use to prepare and save the precious memories they are going to make while delivering and bringing home the new baby. These things can add up for new parents, so these are especially appreciated.

If you know someone who has had a premature baby, you may not know what to do for them. There are special needs these parents have that you can give as baby gift ideas. Offer babysitting (if they have other children) so they can spend uninterrupted time in the NICU with the new baby. Look online for special baby books just for premature babies that record NICU as well as at home milestones. You could also put together their announcements for them (with their input) and other like things so that they don't have to stress over them. Small things to make their life easier and to celebrate the birth are going to mean the world to them.
