There are some easy steps you can take for Trojan virus removal if you want to save all of your data and installed software. If you take your computer to a repair shop or the Geek Squad they will want to erase your entire hard drive after saving valuable documents. After that they will re-install your operating system software and make your computer virus free. The problem with that method is that it is expensive, time consuming, and you can never recover your installed applications. Unless you have the original application software installation disks and the registration number to go with it, you will have to purchase those programs again. That can run into the hundreds and even thousands of dollars if you have a lot of expensive programs installed like Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, ProSeries, or many others.
You can also just download a virus cleaner called Combofix and run it. That will solve most problems and execute the Trojan virus removal that you want. If your computer is frozen or unable to connect to the internet, which happens a lot with Trojan virus infections, you can go to another computer and do a google search for combofix. Download the free program from that site and put it onto a flash drive.
Before using the Combofix on your infected computer you will need to uninstall any virus protection program that you have installed. Since whatever program you have installed obviously did not work, you will not miss it when you uninstall it. You are now ready to perform the Trojan virus removal.
Take the flash drive and put it into the USB port of the infected computer. Copy Combofix onto the infected computers desktop. Open the program called Combofix and let it run. Several windows may pop up and always hit Yes or Run. Once the program starts running do not touch it or open any other windows. This program takes a bit of time but when you are done it will have effectively performed Trojan virus removal and removal of any other malware or spyware that was inadvertently installed on your computer.
You can run Combofix as many times as you want. It is recommended to also download a free copy of Avast and install that onto your computer. This will effectively block any further malware from attacking your computer.
