Low Grade Migraine Symptoms

It starts with a dull throbbing behind one eye. You try and ignore it but it just grows on you, until your entire forehead feels swollen. You take some Excedrin Migraine and lay down, a cool hand towel over your eyes. No use, the pain continues to come in waves, and any light, even a little will make you feel like there are needles in your eyes. You stagger to the window and shut the blinds. You take the phones off the hook because any little sound makes your teeth chatter. Migraine symptoms like these afflict millions of people around the world and scientists have been trying for years to develop medicines and pharmaceuticals to combat these symptoms.

Many people suffer from acute migraine headaches. Many of us know the migraine symptoms that these people suffer from because we have been educated by the media or we personally know someone who is a victim of acute migraine headaches. What is lesser known and not as publicized but perhaps just as bad are the millions of people around the world that suffer from low grade migraine symptoms. Low grade migraines can be just as bad in their own way as the acute migraines that we know so well. With low grade migraines, or cluster headaches, the sufferer usually wakes up with the pain. The pain is bad, usually the same as acute sufferers describe, but not as severe.

One of the worst things about low grade migraine headaches is that the migraine symptoms dont always debilitate you so that you cannot move or function, like an acute migraine. Low grade migraine sufferers many times will continue to work and try to function and somehow to get through their symptoms. They should rest and try and get rid of the pain but sometimes the migraine symptoms are not severe enough for them to use as an excuse to miss work or put their lives on hold.

Low grade migraines are most often characterized by extreme temperature changes or the feeling that one is undergoing temperature spikes. Another of the low grade migraine symptoms most often associated with this syndrome is nausea. Sufferers complain of a pervasive nausea and dizziness. Low grade migraines will many times last for many hours and even for days at a time, with very little relief coming from over the counter medications such as Excedrin Migraine or other pain relievers.

Coffee seems to help and that is why Excedrin Migraine pills have caffeine in them. Cold towels over the eyes can also help to regulate temperatures. If you are suffering from these or other migraine symptoms please consult with your doctor before taking any medication.
